Temporary Administrative Support

The Port of Argentia is accepting applications for a Temporary Administrative Support Person. The individual must be EI-Eligible. The position is for an 18-week period and subject to funding approval.

Duties of the position:

• Assist with carrying out Special Community Development Projects and Planning Events
• Analyze vendor quotes from suppliers in accordance with company policy
• Coordinate with Office Manager in analyzing project budget
• Assist with accounts payables/accounts receivables ledgers
• Assist with updating and maintaining Administrative and Port of Argentia reports
• Answering, screening, and directing telephone calls
• Typing documents for signature
• Data Entry & Filing
• Mail Collection & Distribution
• General Office duties as required

Qualifications and Experience

We’re looking for someone with administration/support experience and excellent PC skills. Experience using Microsoft Word and Excel would be highly regarded. The successful candidate must be extremely organized, efficient and self motivated with the ability to meet deadlines. The candidate must be capable of working independently and/or with a team.
