Port of Argentia held its Annual General Meeting and Election of Officers April 26, 2021 at the Port’s Main Office in Argentia. At the meeting, Wayne Power Jr. was elected as Chairperson of the Board for the one-year 2021- 22 term. The newly elected Executive Committee consists of: 

Chairperson, Wayne Power Jr. 
Vice-Chairperson, Genny Picco 
Secretary-Treasurer, Vivian Smith 
Past-Chairperson, Hedley Burge 

Port CEO Scott Penney praised the 2020-21 Executive Committee for its dedication and service and wished the new Executive Committee much success in the coming year. 

Incoming Chairperson Power acknowledged Past-Chairperson Hedley Burge for his leadership throughout the previous year and outlined his desire to work with the Board, staff, and all Port stakeholders in supporting the Port’s continuing growth and success. 

The eight person Board of Directors meets regularly to govern and oversee the management of its port, property and economic development affairs with the vision of making Port of Argentia Newfoundland & Labrador’s premier heavy industrial seaport.
