Placentia, NL – [December 12, 2025] – Port of Argentia is proud to announce a $10,000 contribution to the Trinity Conception Placentia Health Care Foundation (TCPHCF) to support the purchase of a new cuddle bed for the palliative care unit at Lion’s Manor Nursing Home. This specialized bed is designed to provide enhanced comfort and closeness for patients and their families during end-of-life care.

Health care professionals identified a pressing need for this investment at Lion’s Manor. The Port partnered with TCPHCF for the procurement, purchase and installation of this critical infrastructure.

Port of Argentia’s board members recently visited Lion’s Manor for a demonstration of the cuddle bed’s features, which allow loved ones to safely and comfortably remain beside patients during critical moments. The bed improves both emotional connection and practical care, helping families spend meaningful time together in a supportive setting.
