The Port of Argentia team is sending best wishes and appreciation to the Honourable Dr. Andrew Furey for his years of service as Newfoundland and Labrador’s premier and as a champion of economic and industrial development.

Premier Furey’s leadership has been instrumental in advancing key initiatives that have benefited both the Port and our region.

“His advocacy – through telephone conversations, strategic discussions, and numerous visits to the Port – have contributed significantly to our success. His hands-on approach and efforts to promote our initiatives on a broader scale have been invaluable.”

Since taking office in 2020, Premier Furey has been a strong advocate for the Port, including his efforts to promote export opportunities to support offshore wind projects, the development of the Cooper Cove Marine Terminal Expansion Project, and the advancement of Argentia Renewables, a proposed multi-phase wind energy-to-green fuels production facility.
