Port of Argentia welcome Teslagisitics Inc.

Argentia, NL, September 28, 2015 – Port of Argentia and Teslagistics Inc. are pleased to announce the signing of a facility lease agreement for the development of a secure data storage centre at Argentia, NL.

As part of a 15 year lease agreement with Port of Argentia, Teslagistics will modify, repurpose and transform a series of former US military facilities into some of the most advanced data centre spaces in Canada. The Argentia region will also benefit from the deployment of vital new infrastructure to support this transformation.

Port of Argentia CEO Harvey Brenton says, “Port of Argentia is pleased to execute this facility lease and welcome Teslagistics to Argentia. The Port is delighted to see these current property assets as well as historic structures of the former naval base utilized to develop a new industry for our region with a significant job creation component.”

Teslagistics CEO Louise Stanois says, ”We are excited to sign this lease agreement with Port of Argentia today for the John Whelan Building and Command Bunker and look forward to the phased grow out of our Argentia data centre operations to provide domestic and international clients with a highly secure and energy efficient option for their critical data and high performance computing needs”.

In the coming weeks, Teslagistics will work with regulatory agencies to advance its development plan. As part of this work, the company will be examining ways in which businesses and residents in the Placentia region, and indeed throughout Newfoundland and Labrador, can actively participate in Teslagistics vision for Argentia.
