Port of Argentia held its Annual General Meeting and Election of Officers on the evening of May 14, 2018 at the Port’s Main Office in Argentia. At the meeting, Mr. Hedley Burge was elected as Chairperson of the Board for the one year 2018-19 term. The full Executive Committee consists of:

Vice-Chairperson – Mr. Francis Collins

Secretary-Treasurer – Dr. Daniel Greene

Past-Chairperson – Ms. Vivian Smith

Port CEO Harvey Brenton praised the 2017-18 Executive Committee for its dedication and service and wished the new Executive Committee much success in the coming year.

Incoming Chairperson Burge acknowledged Past-Chairperson Vivian Smith for her leadership through the previous year and outlined his desire to work with the Board, staff and all Port stakeholders in supporting the Port’s continuing growth and success.

The nine-person Board of Directors meets regularly to govern and oversee the management of its port, property and economic development affairs with the vision of making Port of Argentia Newfoundland & Labrador’s premier heavy industrial seaport.
