Adjacent to the Northside Industrial Park is a 40 hectare/100 acre secure site surrounding the Fleet and Navy Docks. With over 600 metres/2000 feet of docking facilities, Argentia can accept vessels up to 300 metres/984 feet in length with up to 11 metre/36 feet draught.
The Port and Dock Lands provides suitable facilities for containers, bulk and palletized cargo product types, heavy specialty items and a cold storage facility. There is sufficient land for a complete offshore marine supply base.

SECURITY
The Port is certified by Transport Canada as ISPS compliant. Port dock lands are surrounded by a perimeter fence. Gates have access control systems and are staffed during international vessel interfaces. A network of security cameras monitors activity within the fenced perimeter. Placentia Bay enjoys excellent marine radio coverage and the Canadian Coast Guard provides radar coverage in the approaches to the Port.

The Northside Industrial Park, adjacent to the port and dock lands, is a prime location for heavy industrial projects and includes over 400 hectares/1000 acres of flat land. The entire site is zoned industrial and powered by 12.5Kv electrical service.
Steel fabricators, crane rentals, warehousing, marshalling and laydown yards occupy acreage in this heavy industrial site and expansion plans will see various other service and supply companies operate from this location.
Recent construction on site saw the completion of Husky’s White Rose Extension Project (WREP) graving dock in support of the proposed wellhead platform concrete gravity base structure construction.

ARGENTIA TECHNOLOGY PARK
FOR KNOWLEDGE-BASED INDUSTRIES
The Port of Argentia Technology Park has been established to attract knowledge-based companies that benefit from low capital investment and proximity to a pool of skilled workers. It is located on a 4 hectare/10 acre site overlooking Placentia Bay. The Technology Park is suitable for data centres, server hotels, call centres and other knowledge-based industries.
The Technology Park is served by two telecommunications carriers providing telephone and data service. There is reliable, competitive broadband connectivity between the Park and the Internet. The Trans Gulf fibre-optic cable connects Argentia with North American and European markets.
Businesses in the Technology Park will have access to a skilled workforce from surrounding towns, community colleges and Memorial University of Newfoundland. Memorial, the largest university in Atlantic Canada, with its main campus in St. John’s, has an enrollment of more than 15,000 students and produces graduates in Engineering, Computer Science, Technology and several other knowledge-based courses.

Argentia Sunset Park
Located within the Port of Argentia site, is the Sunset RV Park and Backland Trails.
The Sunset RV Park is located on a beautiful grassy hillside just past the main entrance way to the Argentia site, and is just 2.5 km/1.5 miles from the Marine Atlantic ferry terminal which connects Newfoundland and Labrador with mainland Canada.
Seasonally operated, the RV park features 40 serviced sites with amenities including water, sewer, 30 and 20-amp electrical hookups, washrooms, showers and a picnic area.
The park vantage point offers a fantastic view of Port of Argentia and Placentia Bay. Scenic, thick green forest, low rise mountains, walking trails, historic military gun bunkers, flora, moose, eagles, and other wildlife and vegetation puts visitors right in the middle of nature’s beauty.
